This page describes exactly what xinminchu.com measures and what it deliberately does not collect. It is a description of implemented behavior, not a legal document.

What this site is

A statically generated personal website. There are no accounts, no login, no comment forms, no newsletter, and no advertising. The site itself sets no cookies.

What is measured

The production site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, loaded from this site's own domain. Web Analytics records page views and aggregate visit statistics without cookies; visitors are counted using a temporary identifier derived from the incoming request that is not stored long-term and is not used to profile individuals across sites. Speed Insights records performance measurements (such as loading and interaction timings) from real page visits.

In addition, the site may send a small set of interaction events when you use specific features: sharing a page, copying a link or citation, downloading a citation file, or following an outbound link to a published paper. Each event carries at most three properties — a content identifier, a content type, and a channel name (for exampleemail or linkedin). Event names and properties are restricted to a fixed allowlist in the site's source code; free-form text cannot be sent. On the site's current hosting plan these interaction events are not retained by the analytics service, so in practice only page views and performance measurements are kept.

What is deliberately not collected

  • No names, email addresses, or contact details.
  • No user-entered text of any kind (the site has no input fields).
  • No IP addresses stored by this site; requests are served by Vercel's infrastructure.
  • No search queries, document contents, or URL query parameters in events.
  • No third-party advertising, social-media, or fingerprinting scripts.

Sharing and citation

Share buttons are ordinary links to the sharing pages of the respective services; no social network scripts are loaded, and nothing is sent to those services unless you follow the link. Citation tools generate their output locally in your browser from this site's own page metadata.

Scope

Analytics runs only on the production deployment of this site. Local copies and previews contain no analytics code. This page is updated when measurement behavior changes.
